Scholarship Requirements
Eligibility Requirements
For a chance to win one scholarship of $1,500 USD, applicants must be:
• A First Year Student at a Post-Secondary Institution
• Pursuing a Business or Marketing Degree
• At least 18 years of age (on the day you submit your application).
Essay Requirements
As part of their applications, students are asked to write an essay of up to 500 words. Submissions will be reviewed by the selection committee for the John Thompson Scholarship Program. In your essay, please explain:
1. Your background
2. What makes you interested in pursuing a career in the business or marketing field
3. How you can make a difference in the field
4. How you plan to give back to the community after graduation
5. Why you deserve this opportunity
6. How you will use the scholarship fund
Essays longer than 500 words will not be read. Due to time constraints, longer essays will be instantly disqualified.
